CAN A GIRL HAVE TOO MUCH CHAMPAGNE?
Well up until last night I would have said the answer was no, however after having the pleasure of being at the Roux at Parliament Square last night for their first anniversary meal I am not so sure! The 6 course meal was accompanied by 6 different champagnes form the Gosset House – all of which flowed freely. My only regret was not being able to drink the two wonderful cognacs that finished the meal off!!
But there is a point to note here – last night was a wonderful example of a brand living its values. The warmth and respect exhibited in the long-standing relationship between the Roux family and Gosset House was clear to see, the appreciation of the expertise of each and their complete commitment to excellence, the supportive and nurturing manner Michel exhibits to his staff and his genuine engagement with his guests goes to making a completely memorable experience and one in which you want to repeat.
Most of us have seen Michel Roux on various TV programmes including Master Chef and Service and it would be all too easy for him to be full of his own importance, so it makes it even more impressive to see this genuine man in action and a family who have built a business on a strong set of values, continuing to deliver against these on a daily basis building a loyal customer base.
